The Palais des Festivals: The Beating Heart of the Marché du Film
The Palais des Festivals is where the global film industry comes together to meet, connect, and do business. Each year, over 300 exhibitors from around the world come to showcase their latest lineups, transforming the Palais into a dynamic marketplace alive with opportunity.
The Palais is more than a marketplace – it’s a complete ecosystem built for industry professionals. Screening rooms, conference halls, and dedicated networking areas are all designed to create the ideal environment for discovering new films, exploring fresh trends, and building industry connections. From high-level events to informal spaces like The Lounge and the Bistrot du Lérins, the Palais makes it easy to meet, exchange, and make deals — all in a relaxed yet professional setting.
To keep pace with the industry’s evolving needs, the Marché du Film continually adapts and enhances its services and spaces – ensuring that everything at the Palais supports an efficient, effective and forward-moving market experience.
The Village International: A Global Embassy for Cinema
During the Marché du Film, world cinema comes to life at the Village International — celebrated for its iconic beachfront white tents and vibrant cinematic creativity. Located between the Croisette and the old port of Cannes, this dynamic space hosts over 60 pavilions representing national and regional film institutions, commissions, and creative organizations from more than 90 countries. What began with just 15 pavilions 25 years ago has grown into the heart of global cinema in Cannes.
Each pavilion showcases its country’s film industry, culture, and creative landscape, providing the ideal setting to explore cross-border opportunities, discover production collaborations, and build international partnerships. Pavilions also double as press rooms, meeting spots, and reception areas, fostering the perfect environment for networking and industry discussions.
Beyond business, the Village International embodies the spirit of global exchange and cooperation, fostering long-term relationships between institutions, professional organizations, and key industry figures.
On the Croisette: A Dynamic Extension of the Marché
Beyond the Palais des Festivals and the Village International, the Marché du Film also extends across the Croisette, where a variety of sales companies and studios set up base each year in private apartments or hotel suites.
These companies are an integral part of the Marché. While operating independently, they remain fully connected to the market – hosting screenings in official venues to present their latest titles to buyers or meeting up with professionals at the Plage des Palmes, the Festival & Marché’s premium beachfront venue on the Croisette.
Together, the exhibitors at the Palais, the Village International and along the Croisette form a unique, interconnected ecosystem – where every booth, screening room and meeting space is geared toward one common goal: fostering meaningful connections and creating new business opportunities, all in the collaborative and inclusive spirit of the Marché du Film.
