Discover our delegations of doc producers and come listen to their presentations during our very own Co-Pro Social Club sessions!

After a successful initial tryout last year, Cannes Docs will once again be welcoming a number of delegations, formed by hand-picked producers from different parts of the world. Through this initiative, the selected producers will be diving into the vast Marché du Film wave pool – with Cannes Docs as a surfboard to ride the market wave!

These producers all have a keen interest in creative documentaries and are open to developing international co-productions. They’re attending Cannes with the goal of expanding their professional network, strengthening their company’s position within the global documentary film industry, honing their market navigation skills, and enhancing their global industry expertise.

They will be introducing themselves during our Co-Pro Social Club sessions – undoubtedly THE club to join if you’re in search of potential co-producers for your current projects!

Documentary Africa Delegation

Mamounata Nikièma | Pilumpiku Production

Specialised in creative documentary filmmaking and Communication for Development (CPD), Mamounata Nikièma has been working both as a director (since 2007) and as a producer (Pilumpiku Produdction since 2011). She is very involved in the networks of Burkina Faso filmmakers (Africadoc Burkina, Guilde des scénaristes, Association des producteurs du Burkina Faso, Fédération Nationale du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel…), and has actively participated for several years in Fespaco, within the Espace Junior until 2017. Since 2014 she has also been a trainer at the documentary writing residencies in Bobo-Dioulasso. In 2018 she launched the event Ciné-équipement and the digital platform on cinema Sulunsuku in January 2019. During the Fespaco 2021 she was awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre de Mérite, des Arts, des Lettres et de la Communication with Clasp ”Cinématograpghie”.

 

Pilumpiku Production, an LLC based in Ouagadougou since 2013, specializes in film and audiovisual production. Initially focused on supporting Burkinabè writer-directors, it expanded to collaborate with African filmmakers and diversified into co-production, institutional films, digital creation, and creative industry coaching. Since 2017, it has reinforced its structure through creative entrepreneurship training and launched new initiatives: Ciné-Équipement (2018), an event showcasing film equipment and workshops; Sulunsuku (2019), an online platform featuring a magazine, a professional directory, and an online store; and PIIULGU (2024), an on-demand support lab offering scriptwriting workshops, entrepreneurship coaching, cinema Afterworks, masterclasses, and a coworking space.


Christina Ifubaraboye | IMBUU

Christina Ifubaraboye is the founder of IMBUU, a narrative collective for the Other—dedicated to telling urgent, deeply human stories through film and immersive media. A Hot Docs-Blue Ice 2022/23 Fellow with a background in media, arts, and communication, she holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Hertfordshire and has worked across industries to shape narratives and craft impactful stories. Her early career included reporting for Delta State Broadcasting, producing content for TV and radio, and later working in operations at Coronation Registrars. She wrote for a Lagos-based culinary magazine and was a core creative voice shaping storytelling and strategy at The Ben Enwonwu Foundation, Omenka Magazine, and Omenka Gallery. At Evoke Communications, she led campaigns and brand work for top-tier clients as an account manager and copywriter.

 

IMBUU is a narrative collective dedicated to telling urgent, deeply human stories through film and immersive media. We spotlight voices from othered communities, with a focus on Africa and its diaspora, creating bold, visually striking work that moves across the personal and the political. Our approach is rooted in care, collaboration, and craft — centring lived experience, cultural memory, and imaginative storytelling. We work across genres and formats, developing documentary, fiction, and hybrid projects that challenge dominant narratives and invite global audiences into perspectives rarely seen. From ideation to impact, IMBUU builds worlds that reflect the complexities of identity, displacement, resistance, and joy.



Alyaa Musa | Tooma Production ltd

EAVE, Berlinale talent, DFI producers, APOST lab and Rotterdam Producers connection alumni, Alyaa Musa studied filmmaking at London Film School and has a MA with distinction in Cinematography and Post production from the University of Greenwich, UK. She has multiple creative credits in a number of internationally recognized films. Co founder of Black Balance Artistic Production Sudan and founder of TOOMA Production Rwanda, she is currently leading multiple internationally produced documentaries and fiction projects of different genres.

 

 

Tooma Production ltd is an art production house focusing on cinema and audio-visual art. Tooma production is focusing on working with emerging young storytellers from the Middle East and East Africa and bringing more co-production projects between the two regions. After the war in Sudan in 2023, producer-filmmaker Alyaa Musa established Tooma production in Sep 2023 to continue the journey she started back in Khartoum with Black Balance Artistic production company. BB was one of the leading film production companies in Sudan. Tooma is currently producing two feature Sudanese films in production and post production and a doc series in production. Tooma is also co-producing two MENA based creative documentaries with France, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands. Also co-producing with Tunisia and Mauritania and leading a collective of TV drama series in East Africa.

Marianna Kaat | Baltic Film Production

Marianna Kaat is an award-winning filmmaker and producer based in Tallinn, Estonia, with over two decades in the industry. She is the founder of Baltic Film Production (BFP), an independent production company specializing in internationally recognized documentaries. Her notable works include The Last Relic (2023), Life of Ivanna (2021), Close Relations (2016), Pit No 8 (2010) — all celebrated on the global festival circuit and won numerous awards. She has collaborated with leading directors and contributed to the advancement of creative non-fiction filmmaking. Beyond filmmaking, Kaat is an Associate Professor at Tallinn University’s Baltic Film, Media, and Arts School and curates the Doc@PÖFF International Competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Her contributions have earned her the Charles E. Guggenheim Emerging Artist Award, a European Trailblazer title at MIPDOC Cannes, and multiple international festival awards.

 

Baltic Film Production (BFP) is an award-winning independent production company based in Tallinn (Estonia). It was founded in 1998 by producer-director Marianna Kaat (PhD). Main activity is production of creative non-fiction films with the strong social massage blended with artistic research. Company produces also TV Shows, shorts and documentary serials for different Estonian broadcasters. BFP collaborate with different international co-producers and world-known directors. Several documentary films premiered in numerous festivals worldwide, such as IDFA, HotDocs, Toronto IFF, BFI, won prestigious awards.


Uldis Cekulis | VFS FILMS

Uldis Cekulis created the independent production company VFS FILMS 27 years ago. In 2007 he was named among seven film producers to receive International Trailblazer award at MIPDOC in Cannes. He has worked on almost 50 creative documentaries and author-driven prime time TV docu-series both as a producer and sometimes as a cameraman. Most of his produced films have travelled around the world and many have received prestigious awards, such as Shanghai IFF Golden Goblet for Bridges of Time, Karlovy Vary IFF Crystal Globe for Immortal, IDFA Special Jury prize for Ukrainian Sheriffs and many others. Italian-Latvian coproduction The Rossellinis have premiered at 77th Venice IFF. He is a member of the European Film Academy. Other activities include tutoring at documentary workshops in Europe, Caucasus and Asia.

 

VFS FILMS is a Latvian production company established in 1997 and best known for its creative docs awarded at Shanghai IFF Golden Goblet for Bridges of Time, Karlovy Vary IFF Crystal Globe for Immortal, two Best Documentary awards at the Warsaw IFF for Wonderful Losers and The Jump, IDFA Special Jury prize for Ukrainian Sheriffs, EFA nomination for “DreamLand” etc. Our Italian-Latvian co-production The Rossellinis have premiered at the 77th Venice IFF and in 2021 our debut feature “Upurga” premiered at the Black Nights IFF.



Ruta Adelė Jekentaitė | Baltic Productions

Ruta Adelė Jekentaitė is a Lithuanian producer with over a decade of experience in the film industry. Her company, Baltic Productions, founded in 2012, produces films with a special their own cinematic aesthetic identity. It focuses on developing and producing documentary and fiction films with attention to supporting creative talents. Ruta is part of EAVE producers 24’. In 2023’ she was listed one of the 17 ‘Emerging Producers across Europe. Her expertise in the field is reflected in her academic achievements, having earned a Masters of Multimedia Arts and undertaken specialized training in the legal and financial aspects of European co-production at the Erich Pommer Institute. Ruta is actively involved in various educational projects as mentor or tutor.

 

Baltic Productions is an audiovisual company based in Vilnius, Lithuania. We have more than 12 years of experience delivering high-quality documentary and fictional projects — ranging from short to feature-length films, multimedia performances, museum installations, and VR projects. Our team works on both national and international levels. Our films grow from personal stories that mirror collective truths. We find meaning not in statements, but in reactions, small gestures, unspoken truths, lived stories.Our process is usually shaped by patient observation, and trust in authenticity. We always try to bring a visually rich approach as aesthetics matter to us — how a story is told is as important as what is told. Creative choices make the difference between showing and seeing. In 2024, we are planning to release two new titles: the co-production project Up in the Air (LT, UKR, CZ) and the fiction project Borderline by Ignas Jonynas.

Leonidas Liambeys | Long Run Productions

Leonidas Liambeys has over 16 years of production experience on national & international co-productions, primarily in non-fiction films and TV productions, as well as multimedia exhibitions, working on Greek co-production features and series from Tanzania to the Bahamas. As a producer he has completed award-winning doc features and drama doc series for Greek cinema and TV. He is producing several feature doc productions and co-productions, one of which won top awards at the TiDF 2021 Pitching & 2024 Docs in Progress and in 2024 he presented Long Run’s slate at Cannes Docs. With Greek and British heritage, he combines a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University with a BFA Diploma in painting from the Athens School of Fine Arts. Completed non-fiction films include Sylvia Robyn (dir. Panayotis Evangelidis / 2024); Venizelos, the Struggle for Asia Minor (dir. Nikos Dayandas / 2022); Stray Bodies (Associate Producer / dir. Elina Psykou / 2024).

 

Founded in 2020, Long Run Productions has a track record working with major Greek funding bodies such as the EKKOMED and ERT to successfully produce compelling documentary films, social media projects and animations. Long Run has worked with private institutions such as the Greek National Opera, the Venizelos Foundation and SKAI TV to produce non-fiction features and series for the cinema, TV and social media. Additionally, Long Run offers bespoke archive research and production services to both Greek (including Tamweer, Faliro House, Pan Entertainment et al.) and international clients including (PBS, RAI et al.). The company is committed to pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling, creating meaningful, impactful, and engaging non-fiction works that can surprise, inform – and above all move – viewers in Greece and across the world.


Yuri Averof | Anemon Productions

Yuri produces creative documentaries and cross-media projects for Athens-based Anemon Productions. He also frequently works as a writer and an editor. Films he produced include Greek BIFF OSCAR contender When Tomatoes Met Wagner (ARTE, Greek Film Centre, Cosmote TV, Creative Europe), Focal Award winner Latin Noir (ARTE, TVO, Histoire, TVUNAM, CNC, ERT, GFC ), Hellenic Film Academy winner Dolphin Man (ARTE, CNC, WOWOW, Knowledge, TVO, ERT, GFC, SVT, Yes DBS, TSR) and FIPA D’OR winner A Family Affair (ABC, ERT, OTE-TV, GFC). Cross media projects he produced include Foodprint, A Balkan Tale, Twice a Stranger and History Lost, partnering with cultural and educational institutions such as the Goethe-Institut, the Benaki Musem, the British Council, the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and Istanbul Bilgi, the Cyprus Department of Antiquities and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

 

Based in Athens, Greece, Anemon produces documentaries and cross-media projects for the international market. It is dedicated to creating projects as a catalyst for discussion and impact, with a special focus on society, environment, culture and history. Anemon is currently developing its first live action film for children, Nico Finds a Treasure, with co-producers in Germany and Holland (Eurimages Co-Development Award, Cinekid 2023). It is also producing Onassis Film Award recipients Holy Human Angel and Dark Waters, and two documentaries for children aged 12+, Bugboy (IEFTA special mention) and Home Court (Creative Greece Award). In parallel, Anemon has steadily invested in building a documentary audience in Greece through CINEDOC, a distribution network that organizes monthly documentary screenings in cinemas and schools across Greece.


Maria Drandaki | Homemade Films

Maria Drandaki founded Homemade Films in 2009. She has since produced and co-produced several feature and short films which participated in major international film festivals and got distributed in movie theatres, platforms and TV-channels around the world. Maria’s slate includes works by some of the most unique and daring voices in Greek and international cinema. Her latest feature film productions are: the multi awarded Animal by Sofia Exarchou (Pardo for Best Performance, Locarno IFF 2023 / Golden Alexander for Best Film, Thessaloniki IFF 2023, nominated for the Lux Audience Award 2025), Arcadia by Yorgos Zois (Berlinale Encounters Competition 2024), and the co-production To a Land Unknown by Mahdi Fleifel (Directors’ Fortnight of Cannes 2024).

 

 

Homemade Films is an Athens-based film production and distribution company founded in 2009 by Maria Drandaki. It has since produced and co-produced several successful short and feature films, with a taste for sharp, cutting-edge, innovative cinema. 16 years after, the company’s films participated and got awarded in several international film festivals and got distributed in movie theaters and TV channels around the world. Homemade Films offers film services in Greece collaborating on a regular basis with various producers for projects from all around the world.


Yorgos Tsourgiannis | Horsefly Films

Yorgos Tsourgiannis is an independent film producer and the founder and managing director of the Athens-based production label Horsefly Films. He has worked with directors such as Emin Alper (2022, Burning Days, 2019, A Tale of Three Sisters), Michalis Konstantatos (2020, All The Pretty Little Horses, 2013, Luton), Yiannis Veslemes, (2014, Norway) and Yorgos Lanthimos (2009, Dogtooth). He is currently working on a slate of feature-length projects by established and emerging authors including Efthimis Kosemund Sanidis, Emin Alper, Hana Jusic, Athanasios Karanikolas, Christiana Cheiranagnostaki and Nikola Ljuca.

is a production company founded of Athens basedproducer Yorgos Tsourgiannis. It has produced and co-produced a number of award winning films. Valuing its network of collaborators in Greece and abroad and promoting strong authorial vision, Horsefly is committed in bringing unique Greek films closer to international audiences.

Sarah Kang | Seesaw Pictures

Sarah Kang is based in Seoul and began her producing career with the fiction film Behind the Dark Night (2017), which won Best Film at Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Since joining Seesaw Pictures in 2019, she has focused on films that embrace complexity and ask bold questions, working with directors who courageously reveal their inner worlds. Her latest film My Missing Aunt (2024) premiered at Hot Docs, Budapest IDF, and Jeonju IFF. Queer My Friends (2022) premiered at Hot Docs and was theatrically released in Korea, while Ayena / Mirror (2022), co-produced with India and Lithuania, won awards at the National Film Awards in India and the Oslo Film Festival. She is currently co-producing Baby Jackfruit Baby Guava with Vietnam and the Netherlands, supported by IDFA Bertha Fund, Visions Sud Est, and others, and Becoming Kim with Germany, commissioned by ARTE La Lucarne and EBS. She is an alumna of Eurodoc, Dok Incubator, and IDFAcademy.

 

Seesaw Pictures is a boutique production based in Seoul, Korea with a slate of award-winning films. We produce both documentary and fiction across genres, forms, and cultures. We have expertise in international co-production and the latest (co)-production titles have been screened at Sundance, Berlinale, IFFR, IDFA, MoMA, CPH:DOX, Vision du Réel, Hotdocs, among others. We believe in true collaboration and enjoy working with filmmakers with strong artistic vision and sensitivity.


Tamer Nady | Cellar Door Studios

Tamer Nady is a Cinematographer, Editor, and Producer born in Alexandria, Egypt. After studying engineering, he pursued a Diploma in Filmmaking at the French University in Egypt. His work has been screened and awarded at numerous international festivals and museums. He was Ex Producer of the Swiss/Egyptian feature Fiancées (Visions du Réel 2019, Best Documentary at Tirana FF). He is also known as DOP for The Tedious Tour of M (Special Mention at Gabes, Special Jury Award at Toronto Arab FF) and for I Am Hymns of the New Temples (Rotterdam IFF 2024, Venice Biennale 2024, Sharjah Biennial 2025).

 

Cellar Door is a production house based in Cairo, established in 2018. The company was founded to provide production and post-production services for filmmakers and organizations, guiding their ideas from concept to realization. With the accumulated expertise of its founders, Cellar Door offers versatile production mechanisms tailored to various formats, always keeping low budgets in mind. By leveraging strong connections within the local and international film scene, the company fosters enriching collaborations. Cellar Door actively seeks to develop and produce authentic narratives, aiming to push the boundaries of film as a medium for artistic exploration and visual storytelling.


Nadège Labé | La Société du Sensible

Nadège Labé studied documentary at Aix-Marseille University before moving to Paris to work as an independent producer. She has collaborated on the production of a dozen films with the company Wendigo Films, including the hybrid documentary Mother Lode by Italian director Matteo Tortone, premiered at the Venice Critics’ Week, and If I Die, It’ll Be of Joy by Alexis Taillant, premiered at the Frameline festival. Back in Marseille, she joined La Société du Sensible in 2022 as a partner and producer. There, she co-produced with Spain the documentary Lord, Take me Soon by Guillermo F. Florez and with Italy Il Castello Indistruttibile (The Castle) by Virginia Nardelli, Danny Biancardi and Stefano La Rosa, which premiered at CPH:DOX 2025.

 

 

La Société du Sensible, founded in 2018 in Marseille, is run by three producers, Clothilde Bunod, Adrien Louis and Nadège Labé, who came together with the shared desire to support authors who offer a unique and sensitive perspective on reality. We believe that our productions should encourage innovative, original and minority representations that think outside the box, while also reflecting a strong artistic vision. The Société du Sensible catalog includes six films that have been screened at international festivals like Visions du Réel, CPH:DOX, Fespaco, Thessaloniki Int. Festival… We produce films with TV channels and platforms, and are also expanding into feature-length documentaries and short fiction films. This diversification comes from a desire to open up to other artistic spaces and industry players on a European and global scale, as reflected in our various international co-productions with Tunisia, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Lebanon and Belgium.



Viviana Zuñiga Rojas | Guerrillera Films

Viviana Zúñiga Rojas is a creative producer, director, and musician from Veracruz, Mexico, working across film, documentary, and multimedia. Her film Here We Are premiered at festivals including Morelia, Raindance, and Sheffield Doc/Fest. She collaborated with Tatiana Huezo on her two most recent films (El Eco, Berlinale 2023, Best Documentary & Best Director) and produced the fiction feature La Virgen Silenciosa by director Xavi Sala. Viviana teaches at the Luis Buñuel Film School in Veracruz. She produces diverse content and collaborates with a wide range of artists. She is currently developing her debut feature Bravas and directed the short Luz de las Libres, supported by the Skoll Foundation and premiering in January 2025.

 

 


Guerrillera Films
is an independent production company based in Mexico City and Veracruz, committed to decentralizing film production and education. We support bold, transformative stories through collaborative processes rooted in political and aesthetic commitment. Alongside production, we mentor emerging filmmakers from the region and foster training spaces such as residencies and labs focused on narratives from northern Mexico and other underrepresented territories. We believe cinema should never ask for permission.
